Why is the reply just a constant stream of hashtags.

It's always been a tumblr thing
Thanks, I hate it.
On tumblr, instead of replies and re(posts|woots|tweets)/boosts, there's just reblogging.
You can put a small hidden message in the hashtags section of a post, and sometimes people post these as a reblog if they see one someone else posted that shouldn't be hidden (in their opinion).
It's just tumblr being shitty old tumblr. They're a dead culture now, so it's not a thing now.
