Cyberpunk
What is Cyberpunk?
Cyberpunk is a science-fiction sub-genre dealing with the integration of society and technology in dystopian settings. Often referred to as “low-life and high tech,” Cyberpunk stories deal with outsiders (punks) who fight against the oppressors in society (usually mega corporations that control everything) via technological means (cyber). If the punks aren’t actively fighting against a megacorp, they’re still dealing with living in a world completely dependent on high technology.
Cyberpunk characteristics include:
- Dystopian city setting where mega-corporations rule
- Full integration of technology into society, featuring cybernetic implants
- Outsider protagonists (punks) who often are very familiar with the technology around them
- Hard boiled detective and film noir vibes and influence
- Themes dabbling in trans-humanism, existentialism, and what it means to be human.

Probably could have removed it himself with string and lubricant if he were not an idiot that buys a fucking smart ring.
What you are doing is victim blaming. Not cool.
And what you are doing is saying people who buy Samsung products shouldn't expect them to explode or catch fire. Not cool.
No matter what product you buy, you shouldn't expect them to explode or catch fire. Singling out any particular brand is just dumb.
Name another brand that has repeatedly been in the news for products of various types, from jewelry to household appliances, that has been known to explode or catch fire. Sounds like you ignore that news and keep buying from that shit company and now you're salty for being called on it.
Edit: looks like they can't. Probably mad and sad that their 10 inch Samsung phone seems like a bad investment now
Samsung batteries weren't the only ones, just the only big news stories. You should try researching more and being condescending less.
Oh yeah? Perhaps you can name other washing machines that caught fire randomly? Without googling for 10 minutes?
I bought some fireworks, expecting them not to explode and catch fire, but wtf thats exactly what they did after I lit the fuse!
No, I didn't do that. Now you are doing strawman argument for trolling... But whatever. I didn't mean to engage with you. Just pointed out what you were doing in the interest of help you be more kind. Of course, such changes need to come from within oneself too. I know you can!
These victims of their own brains are what fuel an economy built on marketing, lies, shady TOC, and absurd prices for terrible quality. They get nothing in the way of compassion for being a victim from me.
We all fuel an economy built on marketing, lies, shady TOC, and absurd prices. Sometimes we can try to break away by using FOSS or buying old, but eventually we all come back for something.
Nothing in my comment in blaming. I'm stating they're pretty stupid but I expected nothing more from someone that buys such crap.
Yes, that's the blaming that they're talking about.
Ah yes, because everyone packs lube and string in their carry-on bag when traveling and has 20 extra minutes to sit down and try to figure this out right before boarding a plane.
It may surprise you to learn that not everyone knows everything you know, and there are people out there who know things you don't.
I had a ring I couldn't get off. Did the lube and string thing and didn't work.
What I did learn though is that so long as your finger is not blue, you can go to most jewelers and they can cut the ring off for you at no charge. If your finger is blue, go to the emergency room.
Had to do this for a wedding band that I had kept on for years to the point where my finger had grown larger. Tried all the DIY tricks, and they'd be close but still not enough. Finally admitted I'd have to cut it at a jewelers, was off in 30 seconds. Huge reason why I would never consider a tungsten ring. Might as well just plan a reattachment surgery.
Wait because the tungsten ring will shatter? Or because it's too tough?
I think it requires special tools to cut, and that's just machining the metal away from a finger. Maybe there's a way, but I doubt it's something any jeweler or even ER will have.
Buy stupid things, win stupid prices!
