No bigotry of any kind allowed. Making racist, sexist, trans-/homo-/queerphobic, otherwise demeaning and hateful comments is not ok. Disabilities and mental illnesses are not to be used as insults and should not be part of your comment unless speaking of your own or absolutely relevant.
No gatekeeping and being rude to people who don't agree with you. Leave “gamer” stereotypes out of your comment (e.g. sexless, neck bearded, teenaged, basement-dwelling, etc). Don't compare people to animals, or otherwise deny their humanity. Even if you think someone is the worst human on the planet, do not wish death or harm upon them.
No "justice porn". Posts regarding legal action and similar is allowed, but celebrating someone being harmed is not.
Contrarianism for its own sake is unnecessary and not welcome.
No planning operations, no brigading, no doxxing or similar activities allowed.
Absolutely no defense of GamerGate and other right-wing harassment campaigns, no TERFs and transphobia, racism, dismissing of war crimes and praise of fascists. This includes “JAQing off”, intentionally asking leading questions while pretending to be a neutral party. This also applies to other forms of authoritarianism and authoritarian or criminal actions by liberal or leftist governments.
NSFW threads, such as ones discussing erotic art, pornography and sex work, must be tagged as such.
Moderators can take action even if none of the rules above are broken.

Yeah. If you want an alternative I'd recommend mastodon because from what I've seen at least it's not as brain dead

But still just as fascist.
Mastodon is still federated and while there are going to be some instances run by bad actors the majority of them aren't as bad. From what I understand at least mastodon.social is defederated with the bad instances anyway so we can't interact with each other but I may be wrong I'm kind of new to this type of platform
The question my opponents seem to miss is the fact that in order for fascism to die, these instances need to be Kirked, not ignored. Making it unfeasible for truthsocial, poast, and the pedoverse to exist is the point my downvoters seem to disconnect.
Fascists can set up an instance, sure. The difference is that that's one instance among many. The worst fediverse instances aren't federated with anybody because the entire instance has been blocked by virtually every other instance.
IMO that's much better than even the best monolithic social media site. A monolithic site has to have a set of rules that applies for everyone. You can add your own additional blocks, but you can't unblock things that the monolithic site has decided should be blocked.
Those monolith sites have government hooks in them to manipulate those rules so they are not applied equally.
It was bad before 2020, now it is a joke. They find other things to violate you on for israel comments for instance. Things not against the rules or a real stretch to claim so.

This is just trying to play nice with investors and/or advertisers.
What's the difference?
I said government for brevity, the super rich and corporations control the government and they both have their hooks in. The lawmakers have been threatening to jam them up in multiple ways if they do not cave to pressure which they have. Such as agency sending lists of accounts to ban for unrelated reasons. Or allowing some allies of the politicians too get a pass on moderation while taking a hard line against other voices online. Or allowing connected influence operations free reign.
Whether it's for brevity or directly, you're wrong.
This reads like someone that hasn't been unbanked, sued by everyone, DDoSed, Doxed, IDF’d, and hunted by Interpol.

Hardly, government and powerful industries have their hooks in social media.
You disagree you do not provide a single counter argument as to why it's wrong, which it obviously is not.
You're the one making an assertion, you prove it's true.
Believe what you want, it is not my job to convert random trolls that cannot be bothered to explain why they disagree with something., anyone saying you're wrong without actually making any points as to why is a troll. And not a very good one.

No clue, the instances I use block a lot of them so I never really see their shit.
Depends on if you count tankies as fascist or not.

I count those as Maoists, which if we go by evidence, the ballpark isn't too far off.
By that logic every website on the Internet is fascist because someone set up a website about fascism somewhere.
