Huh? The point in giving an even 10 back to the customer is that it keeps more change in your float. It’s for the cashiers benefit not the customers.

Just go to the safe and get more cash? It’s not that hard
Where did you work as a cashier where you can just go get more cash out of the safe without having to wait an eternity for a manager to do it?
When I was a cashier I didn't care if anything took an eternity for anyone.
Pet store chain. They weren’t doing anything more than sending emails or helping guests and filling my cash drawer is helping guest check out faster
