They know that wall is built entirely on the US side of the actual border, right? In some areas, more than a mile of territory was effectively ceded. They can go and paint the other side too, if they want.

Ladders? Milk crates? More seriously, in some places there are actual gates in the wall, which also allow ranchers access to their land on the other side.

Yep, here’s one in south Texas that’s about 1/4 mile from the actual border (the Rio Grande). It seems to be generally left open. The photo is from the “outside”.
