are you talking about general AI? because I could agree with that, but I would argue this is less a gen ai problem, and more of a capitalist problem~
what do you mean by general AI? i mean generative ai (for text, images, etc) specifically. as a tool designed to fuck up how people get information and pushed as a solution to nearly everything companies can think of. the tool however continues to make people unable to go back to other ways to do things even if they realize that this is awful
yeah generative makes more sense, thanks for the clarification. I would say ai told weren't exactly designed for this purpose, but have been extremely easy to modify and create such terrible creations. but either way it matters little as the end result is the same, more people getting fucked over every day, all so corporations can gain more control over people's lives.
yea i should clarify on the purpose i suppose. i dont intend to mean that genai was a tool created for anything other than to find a flimsy way to make profit. but elites do as elites do, their idiotic creations' flaws end up benefiting them so these tools thrive and survive. if they didn't do that well they'd be dead by now (think metaverse). its similar to the theory of monkeys writing shaksphere but with far worse implications
fucked up useless shit is created everyday. if something becomes gigantic as genai, it means it found a way to benefit the elites
I think they're still over extended for how useful it actually is. They're convinced that if they just keep pouring money into it they'll make labor obsolete, which is laughable. The very market forces that are the basis of their entire system will ensure that workers will just work other jobs, likely with even more enhanced productivity that even further outstrips the wages they're paid. It will always just be a tool, not some transcendent infinite money glitch that they want everything to be. They'll never fly by their bootstraps or get the free lunch they desperately want.
that is true.
i think a lot of elite's bullshit that "changes the world" just fucks the world for a few decades before inevitability collapsing. hopefully this time we honor the grayskull rebellion and prevent further bullshit
