if the americans had done this instead of giving them cushy high paying jobs at nasa, the gov't, and industry; we wouldn't be emulating the fascist dictatorship we got them from ourselves.

You are just mixing up the cause and effects, the fascist dictatorship is not causing by keeping them, they were kept because america has always wanted to be the fascist dictatorship
