If they conflate Judaism and Zionism, I don't see why our condemnation of that conflation should follow the same path.

So no, it's not weird. I have no problem with anyone paying respect to the Jewish religion.

Ps. Free Palestine.

Sure but this is not paying respect, it's performing a prayer in a religion they don't adhere to.

This is really just tourist shit, innit?

I've been and I'm nowhere near religious. I really thought it was just a touristy thing to do while you're there, though obviously I know that it has a lot of significance to some groups.

*in a religion that is a direct precursor to their own

Christians blame Jews for crucifying Jesus, what are you on about? Christians literally invented Pogroms.

Christianity is an offshoot of Judaism. The Old Testament and the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible) are largely the same.

Yes Christianity is the sequel to Judaism, but they believe that the Jews at the time didn't want to follow Jesus and crucified him for heresy. Hence Jews and Christians have a had a lot of beef the past 2000 years.

It's a bit more complicated than that, but the point is that praying at the western wall is not exactly not Christian.
