Seriously, where are all the ecchi animes lately? Is it just a thing of the past? Perhaps a big influence from the west...

You might want to check out Mother's Basement on YouTube if you haven't. He's got a great series called Hottest Trash Anime which goes through all of the current seasons more baseless series. He goes over their strong points, and potential audience, and it's all done in a pretty creative and entertaining format.
I will admit, I didn't end up watching anything off of it last season, so maybe we are going through a bit of a drought.
They're still around, just gotta look for em.
