AI-Industrial-Complex grift is fine as long as it sufficiently relates to the AI doom from the TREACLES. (Though TechTakes may be more suitable.)

What a way to sneak the covid conspiracy theory into the bigger consciousness, just talk about it like it is an established fact.
She must hate grapefruits. (Yeah, a stretch, some commercialized grapefruits come from Atomic Gardening which is also a sort of gain of function research, and prob a lot riskier in spreading mutations into wider nature. But there is no witchhunt over that so people aren't aware. (I just think it is neat).

I don’t particularly care about whether COVID was a lab leak or not at this point: gain of function research was spectacularly stupid. It was entirely unclear how it was going to achieve anything of any positive consequence whatsoever except extending the careers of the researchers in question whilst putting the entire world at risk.
