it's almost like the victims of the attack orchestrated the whole thing from behind the scenes so they had a reason for massive retaliation.... and then they could wipe that geographic area clean and expand their own territory
This is a conspiracy theory. Even if you are pro-palestine, do not fall for it.
As far as I am aware it is confirmed that the far-right Israeli parties provided funding to Hamas in order to excuse their own crimes. They probably didn't plan that particular attack, but they've been working on the genocide (and the excuses for it) for a long time.
I've seen reports that Israel knew about them beforehand as they were warned by Egypt (as though the surveillance network of Israel didn't already know about it), and they just... didn't do anything? So idk about conspiracy theory but them helping it to go off seems more like a plausible take based on the evidence.
It's wild the shit that they have done, and people still think they are the victims in any capacity.
