"only" 10%? 10% is pretty significant
And a totally ineffective move that won't allow anymore trade to move through than before. So what's the point or the goal here. The Houthis have been putting up with much more than that for years between the Saudis and the Biden administration.
The Houthi started the civil war. The Houthi attacked KSA. Why the fuck do you think the Houthi are the good guys when they literally started the war and are attacking innocent sailors on cargo ships?
Lol, where did I say that? US intervention in a conflict like this can only lead to escalating that conflict. This is a regional dispute that the US has no business being involved with, either directly or via a proxy.
If you are interested in peace then you want the USA to stay out of it.
First this is by no means a regional conflict when they are attacking Japanese cargo ships in international waters.
Secondly the US is part of this due to our treaties with KSA. KSA was drawn into the war when the Houthi Militia started the war by attacking the legitimate government that had treaties with KSA.
Do you have any background in international politics or are you just shooting from the hip as it were?
If you want peace you shouldn’t back the instigator of the conflict
If you think US involvement in this will led to peace then you are simply delusional. I am in no means backing anyone, just simply pointing out US involvement will decrease any chance of peace because it removes the agency of all of the groups involved by letting the US decide what the next steps are.
I never said it would lead to peace. The goal is to end the Houthi attacking cargo ships not to resolve the civil war in Yemen that the Houthi instigated.
