Ironic we are sharing a microsoft link for a news article in a community to boycott unethical US corpos.
But yes, this is good news!
probably as a result of Microsoft stuffing msn links into everything as a part of the bing enshittifications, which in turn affect DDG.
DDG just uses bing in the backend, so I’m somewhat unclear on why everyone is touting this as some great alternative search engine.
Sometimes I wonder if federated compute instances not running high loads could spin spare cycles crawling/indexing.
it's bing with all the tracking stripped out. Essentially.
There's some other good things about DDG as well, but it's not like it's just bing.
