Any trans people reading this comment, who are around 18- 25 years old. Germany and some other countries offer a social year, where you work over here for a year. You get to live here, have healthcare etc. Only cache is that you gotta work in a social sector job. Sometimes people can manage to make it two years. So if you are looking for a temporary way out, check it out. There is nothing you can lose by trying to do that year.
Edit: For anyone checking this out, it's called FSJ, or Freiwilliges Soziales Jahr. Some info here: https://bak-fsj.de/ (German) https://en.life-in-germany.de/voluntary-year-in-germany/ (some general information)
Sincerely, correct me if I'm wrong, but reading through info on this it looks like you're not cleared to do paid employment on the necessary visa for this. If someone opts for this (it does look like a cool program, and I have some people in mind where it'd be an excellent fit if they can swing it), you're going to need funds for self-support in advance (similar to other programs like this - WOOFing etc.)
If you have the means to do this, definitely looks worth exploring though. Obviously gonna have to learn German (what I'm seeing suggests at a B1 level, though noting some roles may accept a lower level of fluency).
