This is a place to share resources and coordinate projects to assist in the migration away from legacy social media.
Should be "no known corporate" tracking or something along those lines.
By interacting with social media, you are creating a trail, such as I do now.
But in the fediverse, no known entity is granted access to that data as a business model or known force.
Yeah, it's all publically available content. Anyone can scrape it if they're determined enough.
It's why I'm wondering why there isn't a stronger desire within the fediverse to have some of it end-to-end encrypted. PixelFed is useless to me, because I'd only want to share photos with people I've added.
So far, I have not yet found a suitable non-abandoned project.
