Anyone manage to find the actual comment link?

Oof, I scrolled for a good 10 minutes. I couldn't find the comment, probably deleted.

A crazy mix of "politics" in there. The sheer amount of people who have no problem telling the world they have no problem running over people simply because they don't want to slow down in the street is concerning.

Yes the comment has been deleted by the moderators... Although you can still see the moderator comment

Probably fictional. Otherwise OP would have linked to it

[-] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 18 points 1 month ago

Someone provided a link 6 minutes before you replied.

[-] GreatRam@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago

We are but 6 minutes old

[-] jagged_circle@feddit.nl 1 points 1 month ago

We should all always assume that any screenshot is fake unless they provide a link to the source.

[-] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 month ago

You can believe everything is true, or you can believe everything is fake. Either way requires no thought.

[-] jagged_circle@feddit.nl 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Or you can believe things to be true when proper citations are provided.

And report potential misinformation to mods for deletion.

[-] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 month ago

So you waste the mods time reporting everything posted?

There's a world of difference between asking for a source and saying "no source so it's fake, reporting."

[-] jagged_circle@feddit.nl 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

We have standards here on Lemmy, and that includes fighting against low effort posts and spreading misinformation.

The mods aren't doing enough. Its our job to help them identity this content.

[-] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 month ago

How's that working out for you?

[-] jagged_circle@feddit.nl 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Its hard to say. I'm not in communication with the mods, but I expect* they appreciate users helping to maintaining good lemmiquite

[-] stephen01king@lemmy.zip 5 points 1 month ago

You're sure, but you don't have a source? Aren't you just spreading misinformation, then?

[-] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 month ago

Good point, we should report his post unless he provides a source.

Yeah, the text is too straight, it should curve with the window.
