How are you doing with your communities?
(feddit.org)
To discuss how to grow and manage communities / magazines on Lemmy, Mbin, Piefed and Sublinks
!bicycle_touring@lemmy.world had a good season, but i reckon it will go into winter hibernation now (or already is).
All in all i am quite disillusioned with lemmy though, and if lemmy.world was on the latest update i would have probably already deleted all my images and offed my account. All the topics i was interested in on reddit are not really being discussed here.
Sad to hear. Besides bicycle touring, what other interests do you have? For bicycle touring, maybe try to promote it on Aussie.zone as they are starting their spring? But I guess you would then face the 1 week delay explained on !fedimemes@feddit.uk
Camping, travel, outdoor stuff, local city sub, myog, pizza baking, desire paths, niche photography sub.. Stuff lime that.
I was also much more of a lurker than a poster.
Seems like !outdoor@slrpnk.net needs a boost.
You can promote it on !newcommunities@lemmy.world
For photography, isn't !photography@lemmy.ml quite active?
I see pizzas from time to time on !foodporn@lemmy.world
It is being boosted right now as it is in the current rotation for the lemmy.world (eew) community spotlight. Alongside with the famous !bicycle_touring@lemmy.world and also the !newcommunities@lemmy.world communities and others. (A link on top of the l.w landing page)
I meant more some promotion on !newcommunities@lemmy.world
And I know what the lemmy.world spotlight is, I'm in a chat with a few LW admins to discuss which communities could be featured there. It's a nice feature.
