This is a continuation of Biden's genocidal policies, not a new promise to end the genocide. The DNC is losing heavily in optics, so they are trying to fight optics with empty promises while maintaning unending support for Israel's "Right to Defend Itself." If you have any knowledge of Israel's existence as a settler-colonial apartheid state, or why the US will always support it, then you know that Harris's promises are hollow and empty, and signify continued genocide.
Here's a simple thought experiment: why has the US historically supported Israel, and how would that change?

It's an imperialist semi-democratic republic. Up until Jan 6th it had a long run of peaceful transfer of power. It's not a dictatorship yet. Trump promises to make it one. I didn't think any of that would be unknown to you?
If Trump has the legal ability to make it a dictatorship, then it always was, and the rest was kabuki theatre. If he has the illegal means of making it a dictatorship, then he has that power regardless of how the election turns out.

I don't care which neoliberal party wins one specific presidential election. I don't think on alarmist timelines where every successive election is The Most Important Election of Our Lifetime and carries a totalizing importance that makes all the rest of the future a footnote. What I care more about are the substantive elements of party platforms and how those platforms change, and if one of them can change at all, it's the Democrats.
And you propose to bring about that change by.... ?
Putting pressure on her. If she wants to win, she needs to pivot on Palestine. If she chooses not to, she is choosing for Trump to win rather than for Palestine to stop being genocided. It is her job to get votes if democracy actually exists in this country, not the job of the people to vote for her.
This does have the very real potential consequence of Trump winning, neither I nor anyone else here as hesitated to say that. However, Trump does not represent a totalizing threat like I described in my last comment. He toys with fascist rhetoric, but he is in no way a serious fascist the way someone like Ron DeSantis or Tom Cotton is. My interest is in creating a serious left opposition prior to them being the Republican frontrunners, because this "wait until next election, now wait until next election" is just a stalling tactic to prevent the left from making any progress with the Democrats move further and further right, taking up old Republican policies like Trump's old immigration policy.

Again, what on Earth are you asking? War is always tragic, yes, and war is happening because of Matetial Conditions, not random emotions or vibes. What are you getting at?

You asked my feelings, ie my emotions. My feelings are that it's tragic.
Now you are asking for analysis, ie whose fault it is and what should be done.
The cause of the war, ie the reason why it is happening, stems from NATO as it was formed as an anti-USSR coalition of Imperialist powers. After the dissolution of the USSR, Russia was plundered by western Capitalists. The Russian Federation tried to join NATO, but was denied, so it threw off the Western Imperialists via an increase in far-right Nationalist interests.
NATO continued to expand despite Russia warning repeatedly against it, and now Russia is trying to forcibly demilitarize Ukraine completely, compounded by Ukranian shelling of Donetsk and Luhansk, breakaway regions in Ukranian territory of ethnic Russians.
Peace talks should be had between Russia and Ukraine. They need to examine the reality of the forces at play, and try to come to a resolution quickly to prevent more loss of life.
If you can't understand how holding candidates accountable is important, then what else is there to tell you. This isn't about Trump making anything better, it's about withholding vote from a candidate that does not represent you.
