Populist reactionaries are not the same as conservatives. I would put them on the far right, beyond what I’d call conservatism.
In my opinion, there isn’t much of a conservative movement in the US anymore, and most of what exists is a faction in the Democratic Party.

What about his thoughts towards regulating big business? Roe v. Wade? Immigration?
I mean, a lot of religions are antiweed but I'll concede that point.
What kind of gymnastics are you doing that you see magic internet money as "progressive economical reform?" I've been around for a minute and every hardcore cryptobro I've had conversations with ends up being some flavor of ancap/libertarian/accelerationist/wannabe warlord/sells drugs or is in some other way explicitly anti-state.

Last time I checked the conservatives love pump and dump schemes hence why they always repeal banking regulations.

Lemmy is progressive, which means that anyone who endorses Donald Trump, a man who we know very well to be regressive and dishonest, is going to get shit on for it, and we won't be wrong. Opposing Trump is about as far from reactionary as you can get.

Even if you are pro trump, politicians doing a 180 on their views should alarm you. It's nice to be able to support a candidate with some assurance that they are what they say they are.
I haven’t been paying enough attention to know if this is a 180 or just a continuance of what they were already doing but you should want politicians whose beliefs can change based on new information
I find it odd that she is using her military pedigree as justification for this because of how anti-American military personnel Trump is but she could have been preaching his policies for awhile now
She fully supported Bernie Sanders in 2016. She ran as a progressive in 2020 against Bernie with almost identical policies, and then suddenly endorsed Biden when she realized Bernie wasn't going to win. She then started going on Fox etc. and trashing Biden, and now is endorsing Trump. She has run the entire political spectrum according to who she thinks is likely to win and give her a cabinet position without regard to policy. Also she is part of a Hawaiian cult that wants to take over the world.
She claimed to be super progressive left in 2016 and 2020 during the presidential elections. She then endorsed Biden then trashed Biden and endorsed Trump. She clearly just wants a cabinet position with someone.
You run into one asshole, you've just run into an asshole. If you run into assholes everywhere you go, you're the asshole.

Basically if you're against Trump, you must be completely obsessed with him and therefore deranged. Sane people don't oppose him. Or something like that
