The irony is, yeah, the tankies on hexbear and ml are bad. But the rest of lemmy is bad as well. Everyone is completely indoctrinated these days. It's just complete polarization and extremism. Everyone just reads their corner of the news and needs to believe one side or another.
Not everyone. I'm really actually clueless. The state of the country I live in is so bad that I have just given up.

Gosh, why is everyone but you so extreme and indoctrinated? Literally everyone. You explicitly said, everyone. That's totally different from parroting "both sides," somehow.
Keep in mind, the more extreme someone's views, and the more strongly they hold them, the more likely they are to share them and argue the case.
You just don't hear from people with moderate views all that much, I think.
