No, no, follow the shoe!

Nice way to capture the CO2 and we could generate the electricity by burning cows.

Have you ever seen the opening credits to Duck Tales?

That.

Really enjoyed my experience with Tinykin. Very cute, very chill and easy enough to complete in a day or 100% over a weekend.

I keep dropping back into it so I'm sad to see it go.

I used to use all the Simple tools, even paid for them, unfortunately the dev changed monetization to a shitty model and I got locked out.

Since then I moved to QKSMS. Its on F-Droid and despite some initial quirks I'm very happy with it.

As the title says, along with ~10% of people I'm a lefty. Is it possible to reverse the layout of my feed?

Terrible people have produced magnificent "content" since Oog and Tharg first painted on cave walls. I love the work of Wagner, even though I'm not a Nazi. Fan of Lovecraft even though his standards are equally shitty. I adore American Psycho even though B E Ellis comes across as an utter tool. Picasso was a womanizing prick, boardering on paedophile. Great painter though.

Feel free to vote with your wallet, but if you become too sensitive to the moral and ethical views of people, or "some" of the people working for companies, you'll miss out on some masterpieces.

Having said that, I won't buy any Kelloggs products because fuck Kelloggs. Does that make me a hypocrite? Maybe a little, but we all need our lines in the sand.

Found guilty of 15. Shipman is credited as the worlds most prolific "known" serial killer. Actual estimated is around 250.

It is just water. When the engine starts the cold exhaust heats up creating condensation which drips off as the exhaust fumes are expelled.

It "can" be oil, but you'd need to be pretty unlucky, and need a new engine.

I may be an idiot, but I can't see these settings.

Late response but I got to the root of the issue. Lemmy (well, lemmy.world) wasn't being cached by Quad9's DNS servers.

I tested by using different DNS servers (OpenDNS) which worked fine, then permanently resolved it by installing unbound on my pihole and using that instead.

Tl;dr it was DNS

It's always DNS

Morning all. Unsure where to post this, so here I am...

Anyone here on Virgin Media having difficulty accessing Lemmy content (I'm on lemmy.world)?

Started a couple of days ago, tested with my pi-hole off so I know its not that. The only way I can access is mobile data.

Cheers.

I'd love to give Tildes a go, the content seems a lot more "grown up" with a more substantial discourse. But its still invite only shrug

Not mine, but but a favorite I cook a lot. Found on the other site. We're having it for dinner tonight so thought I'd share

Working on a medium sized office network which only has a single PoE switch for WAPs. About 200 users. No copper to the desk... It made sense to buy a second PoE switch to give a bit of redundancy, even if it's for manually swapping cables in case switch A dies.

Plug in switch, wait for power up and decide to test the manual failover over lunch. Gateway plugged in, flashing lights. WAPs plugged in, flashing lights. Wireless network visible but can't connect as there's no DHCP. Swap everything back and we're back in business.

The switch is unuseable until I've installed an app, created an account, onboarded to a "cloud" and configured from my phone.

Oh HP, how you have fallen from the rock-solid days of procurves and have degenerated to the unfortunately named Aruba "Always On"

Rant over.
