I joined and ran many clans growing up but my first was in Rainbow Six: Rouge Spear. I spent many of hours sniping on bunkers and swearing at each other over Teamspeak. One guy I met took me under his wing and showed me all about each level. The mod scene was pretty good too, granted you had to manually install the mod locally or the server wouldn't let you in.

My most memorable game was America's Army. The challenge of the gameplay really drew me and my RL friends in and we ended up making a clan. We liked it so much we rented a legit server so we could get honor on our own turf. Between us and the players coming in it was some of my best time on a shooter.

Just for sheer amount of hours, Counter Strike 1.6 reigns supreme. I remember when I first saw my America's Army friends playing it and was in awe. The movement was janky compared to America's Army, but had way faster gameplay and more weapons. At first I had trouble getting the hang of it and it took a while but eventually I could somewhat keep up with them.

Needless to say, I got zero sleep as a kid.

Best: I get to see a lot of aerospace stuff being manufactured.

Worst: The owner's wife is a dumb bitch.

Castle Crashers. It's a classic side scroll beatemup with RPG elements. I've beaten it a few times both solo and with friends.

Minecraft. When I started out it was fine but when I began to get regular visitors I got DDOSed for days on end and people poking me for ssh access. Never again.

I love Blue Dream. It's the perfect blend of "Holy shit I'm high" and not being couch-locked.

My boss has been looking for new technicians since I joined but has had no luck. His excuse is the classic "Nobody wants to work", but then I saw what he's paying for entry level for the positions. It's so low you're better off working at McDonalds or slinging Amazon packages bad.

I never stopped. Streaming services are such a joke.

I stumbled upon this page and thought I should share. It's really cool seeing a page like this still up and running, albeit frozen.

I love our Arris modem. It's definitely rock solid.

I'll only buy Brother printers now. The print quality is pretty good and they just work on my Linux desktop.

I love these guys. They take me back to the Tony Danza days. Enjoy!

One of our customers has a Lenovo with an i7 10th gen and 16gb of memory. Booting up takes about 5 minutes on an NVMe drive and using our application, based on Microsoft Access, takes literal years to save an entry.

Windows can fucking die in a hotel fire.

The second I visited lemmy it immediately felt like the reddit of old. Damn it feels good to be back to basics.
