@clockwork_octopus You had me at "gross"! Acrylic does seem to be the consensus it seems, gonna go look up reviews of my locally available ones and see which ones are considered reliable. Thanks!
I completely expected the same from the title, of course in that case the answer would be obvious. Cast on something new, of course! π
@magslhalliday @knitting Oh no! I used to live in fear of something like this with DPNs and had visions of dropping them and having them roll down the whole bus. Big part of the reason I learned to just do everything magic loop instead! π
Bet you looked really pro recovering from that misstep though.
@Speckle Great minds! We're off on a cruise with the husband's family, should be fun, I have packed all my sewn skirts and crochet tops and etc π
@kurobita Worst part is I literally have a swift and winder, but convinced myself it would be ok to do this one by hand to avoid making noise while watching TV π
@gina Almost all done, now! I think it's relaxing because it takes my mind off other things and puts my concentration onto something ultimately inconsequential.
Excited for the yarn though, it was hand dyed as a gift so been looking forward to using it!
@lemmy_stitch Eight hour update! Averaging 171sts an hour which isn't bad considering we're also marathoning Futurama at the same time and we accidentally watched Jurassic Bark π
@Whitehorse @cicatrized Oh bless! Haha I can just picture the moment she realised what was wrong.
My husband is left-handed too but when I taught him, we decided to try him the right-handed way round first just in case he could manage that since it would make it easier for him to follow other tutorials. Thankfully it worked out fine!
Do you still crochet exclusively left-handed or did you find you became more ambidextrous over time?
@QTpi @weirdsquid Not even gonna click through from Mastodon to reply to this, I'm just gonna say SHOW US YOUR CURSED SCARF π
