Sorry, I’m still learning how to be an effective member of our community… you’re right; it’s good that this hilarious green text is shared via multiple channels :)

Black and white photo of a white woman lacing ballet shoes. She’s wearing a polo and a tutu, and sits on two trunks with her left leg crossed over her right, so she can lace up her left shoe. In the background, doors with windows inlaid.

Keen take, I totally agree.

He hasn’t been having much success expanding his base, and this article points out that it’s because he’s playing up key conservative issues to capture one audience, while also aiming for moderates. There’s just a contradiction there.

This is so cool. I can’t imagine the mental calculation that goes into designing it.

Is this painted, or rendered?

I found this website really helpful. It rounds up subreddits that existed on Reddit and the places they’ve moved to in the Fediverse.

Is there a buy it for life community here on Lemmy/Kbin yet? If there’s something like that, maybe asking questions here would generate some okay responses. It won’t be as immediate, but it would also help grow the amount of useful info we have in the fediverse.

A stranger once shared food with me and talked me down from fear when a snow squall stranded us at the peak of a hike. I think often about this person’s willingness to help and how it completely transformed that experience.

If you’re interested, I suggest looking at talks from Tara Brach, Rob Burbea, Oren Jay Sofer, Jack Kornfield, and Sharon Salzberg to start.

If you’ve used this site before, please share your favorite talks and teachers in this thread!
