I'm not sure how it works, but if you look up VoIP/burner identification, there are a lot of services that offer it.

Interesting, I thought it was the same everywhere. Where I live, sites can easily tell when my number is a VoIP or not.

I don't think I managed to find one site that would accept a VoIP number. Google, Discord, Twitter, Azure, OpenAI, etc, all want real numbers.

VoIP when I tried it around 2 years ago, so pretty much useless.

Is the categorization done server side or client side? I wouldn't really want my raw search queries sent off to Mozilla

unfortunately it looks like imgur banned my ip since I constantly get a 429. I don't think I ever really spammed imgur, and I always paused requests for images after getting a 429. it's ok though since nobody really uses imgur anymore anyway, and a ton of images got deleted after the anonymous purge a little bit ago.
