GIMP is fine but who can find me replacements for After Effects and Premiere Pro? I need software for video editing/motion graphics and these are the two apps keeping me shackled to Adobe for now…

I love your work! I’m curious about your process: do you have a concept in mind when you create these? Are you sketching a thumbnail first or just drawing freehand? What kinds of markers are you using? It looks like at least some are paint-based.

Sorry I’m not sure if casting works or not, our TV is connected directly to the computer via HDMI.

I had trouble using the default port assigned in Nicotine+ too. Try changing the port range to something different if you haven't already, that's what got my client working.

I got it on Amazon so I requested a return after some more experimenting, it really wasn't worth the effort. A shame but at least I know I tried my best to get it working!

Seems like the community is still active on Reddit. I wonder if it would be worth reaching out to the mods there to see if they have any plans on coming to Lemmy/Kbin?

I didn't even know Switch Spines existed until I saw your post, this is an awesome idea! It looks like they have an archive including templates, tutorials, and existing spines. It should be easy enough to create a community on Lemmy and just start posting.

I know Flashquark is based in NY but I'm not sure where in the state or whether they would sell to you directly. Maybe you could ask in the Discord server?
