Nice! Mixed feelings on this. Broom Factory was beautifully done and I’m sure it’s a net positive for housing issues that strikes a smart balance between the NIMBYs and the developers in the city to start focusing on more midrise projects. But the location is pretty undesirable for anyone who’s not a student. How about a few of these in areas where adult workers and families actually want to live? 😂
Haha, too bad you missed it but at least you got a wholesome story and a bike ride out of it.
Memmy is beautifully designed, but I like Mlem a lot too. I’m going to keep both for awhile and see which one wins out. I confess to being a Reddit lurker and the third party apps always allowed me a way to seek useful information on the platform while sending a minimal amount of data back to the company. After all the recent API drama, I realized that I have to practice what I preach and try to be more than a lurker on platforms that I genuinely feel are better for our world and protect our personal safety/agency as citizens of the net. 100 subscribers is amazing and I hope to continue to play my small part to help the community grow. I tip my hat to you!
I had no idea about Blues Brothers 2000! I love that movie. I saw Kick-Ass as well and never made the connection. I’ll have to watch some of these other ones. Also, seeing Tom Green do his street comedy in Kingston would be hilarious.
I think it’s because the city has plans to stop being responsible for recycling collection after the provincial changes happening in 2025
