Probalby a question of the language you use, maybe this is the reason why OP is writing about psychological violence. German knows "psychological violence" as a term (psychische Gewalt) and it is beeing used.. Also in russian we call it "психологическое насилие". I also see, that the wikipedia article about "psychological absue" says that, that "psycholotical violance" is an other name for that.
This is good to hear. In the past I always waited for the day when I turned 18 and could move out. It is sadly the only advice possible to give someone who is under 18 (US and Europa. Dont know about other countries).
The fact that violence is often understood as physical violence drives me crazy. Even governments around the world use methods of violence or torture that are not physical.
In a family context, it can be very bad because the family is still considered a social security. There are enough people who are trapped in such situations simply for economic reasons and can't get out (violence in marriage, for example).
By the way, I was amazed by the subreddit r/cptsd how certain things are similar as far as psychological violence is concerned. Even the words chosen sometimes are identical.
I have already understood that. But I was referring to the source mentioned :)
Many people lack a basic understanding of what non-verbal violence is and what it does.
I am really sorry that you are in such a situation right now. How long will it take until you can move out?
How concrete is that antifascism. Having gay sex is a personal choice, based on one's own preference. Furthermore, it fails to recognise what fascism actually is: the atomisation of all organs of the working class.
So we can still see them but they not us? Ok didnt know that. I thought you are then not able to see posts there. So no liberals will visit my pigeon sub, I can live with that.
To be honest I understand the possibility to defederate as a mechanism to get rid of spammy instances. Like blocking a mail provider which is known for sending spam mails. But creating echo chambers is quite stupid. I mean, I sometimes visit liberal communities an read their stuff so I know what is going on there. On Reddit I had the possibility to filter subs out (Boos for Reddit). But it was still my decision what I want to see and what not. Here they simply decide for the entire user base.
And this stupidity goes even further. I once read a post on reddit how someone discouraged using Lemmy, the software itself, because it is coded by "tankis". Unbelievable.
Edit: Typo
It's more an attempt to create an echo chamber. And that doesn't even work well, because you can make an account somewhere else.
What exactly changes in the affected instances if lemmygrad users are denied access? If an instance were to attract proportionally bad attention because it was spamming, it could all make sense. But currently it's like on Reddit: If a mod sees that you're active in a subreddit that doesn't suit them, they ban you. Only here they ban you from a whole instance that also has non-political communities.
Edit: mistake in word
No one said that the proletarian revolution has to be bloody. Even no one said that there has to be violence. However, the bourgeoisie will first resort to violence. See 1905 in Russia. The red terror was also only a reaction to the white terror. It is up to the bourgeoisie how a revolution will take place. I hope it is understandable what I am trying to say
It all sounds very, very desperate. I know how it can be. Do you get medical help, do you know where to go if it gets acutely bad again?
It is kind of sad regarding other communities, espacially non-political like r/cptsd, r/pigeons (people loved my pigeons there) or r/geese. Its cool if you can show someone a picture of your pigeon and its getting a positive response.
Congratulations! But what is 9th grade?
No they cant. What are you talking about? Its like an agent writing specific things to /var/log. Telemetry means, that data is collected for your usage. Not for corporations. Intel PMT gives you the ability to access data. You can collect them and do stuff with them.
Have ever seen software which helps you to see how your assets are doing? Look at Nagios. This thing collects data from your assets and visualise it. And this is a kind of telemetry. With Nagios you can see when its time to replace your harddisks on a server because the SMART values are bad. This is all telemetry. And here you have a possibility in a driver to access certain stuff. No stupid workarounds, direct access. Access which is under your control. Have you ever seen a datacenter or worked somewhere, where you have to manage a bunch of servers? You can check every instance one by one or simply collect data and see whats going on.
You are simply misunderstanding the word "telemetry".
