I must add that I really like the app too! I’ve spent the better part of the last 4 weeks testing every iOS app for Lemmy, the only one that has persisted is Mlem. Beautiful UI. I also like the fact that it supports Piefed.

I’m stuck with WhatsApp because of exactly the things you listed (kids’ class groups, football groups, etc). I use Threema, iMessage or Nextcloud Chat with family and very close friends.

You mean we can have designs that are somewhat democratic, without anyone plastering their faces on them?
