Your logic is wrong. If I understand you correctly, you are saying:

  1. Phone already knows precise location (through GPS).
  2. Therefore, it's no use hiding this information.

To this I would ask, from whom? Sure, companies and government may already have access to it in some way, we can't rule that out. But what about TankieStalker42069? Does he know the GPS coordinates? I would bet he would be very happy if you shared your location on a post, and then another post confirming it.

Let's also stop making self aware posts, and do memes and stuff. :)

I heard gentoo is HOT! Which contributes to the acceleration of global warming........ OMG, I need to use Arch again... nooooo. :( Guys, I've decided. It's okay to have conflicting environmental and sysadmin ideologies at the same time.

Personally, whatever revenue they make up in ads, they should instead ask for it in subscriptions. That would remove the incentive to promote engagement via whatever means necessary (resulting in hatred promotion and false catchy titles, to the detriment of the user), and weed out spammers. Of course, if they do that, user count will plummet. But I really don't like what they are doing now.

Me thinks open source is the future.
