I’m not sure if what you shared invalidates what I said at all… Wikipedia is 1st of all not the best source for these kinds of things. But even they say the policy only applied to 35.4% of the population only 4 years after it was first implemented. And it was loosened up even more over time.

What are you trying to say with that quote..?

The 1 child policy only ever applied to around 30% of the population anyways. It was just Han Chinese in major urban centers.

The Soviets kept the Nazi scientists in prison tho… and after they finished their work they were left to rot.

Stalin famously wanted to execute every single military officer from Nazi Germany after the war, and Churchill threw a hissy fit saying “they didn’t deserve it, they were just protecting their country like any good (white, racist) man would!”.

And then the US “rehabilitated” many of the Nazis and put them into positions of power, in the West German US occupied territories, in the nascent NATO, in the US itself….

You shouldn’t need to rewrite anything for your world with the new rules. It’s 99% mechanic updates.

It rebalances the classes, martials v. magic users etc.

I’d say I liked the changes, and I think it makes sense to just allow the players to use the changed classes according to their wish (you have to use the whole class tho, base+sub). And if you like them, use the updated rules for magic, weapons etc. Weapon mastery is p cool.

But like it doesn’t take a full conversion, you can take just some of the updated rules as they fit into your playstyle, world and desires.

And it’s been happening for decades already! Like it never stopped. We put the fear of god into their hearts in the 19th and early 20th centuries, and they never recovered.

A special armed squad to protect capital was born because they understand class war even better than most current leftists.

Even after they “won” they just doubled down because unlike working class libs, they know class war will not end until one or all of us are done for.

Like exactly the same thing happened during alcohol prohibition. Beer disappeared, and spirits got harder and harder.

Seriously, what is up with us as a species? Are we still adapting to being able to record history?

Except no? The capitalist class historically bands together to fight possible revolutions and the working class 100% of the time. They are more class conscious, meaning they understand their position better, and start working to protect it sooner than the working class can perceive the class conflict escalating.

Just look at what’s happening right now! The far-right is rising all over the “west”, worker protection laws are being eroded, pensions “reformed”.

It’s undeniable the capitalist class is much more united and organized. It doesn’t matter if they’ll or do stab each other in the back behind the scenes.

They have a natural sense for “democratic centralism” it seems, cause their outward actions are always united against us.

This is the socialism I support, before fully automated luxury gay space communism ofc.

Portugal has one the highest numbers of houses per inhabitant in the world. Over 40 per inhabitant. There are 700,000 empty homes in Portugal, not counting airbnbs and second homes. A country of 10,000,000 people.

From 2020 to 2023 there was an increase of 400,000,000 euros in international investment in the Portuguese real estate market. It literally doubles in 3 years.

There is a high number of houses that are kept as investments (empty, second houses, airbnbs etc.). This keeps the market hostage to an international investor class, who in every way but literally have infinite money.

This problem will keep getting worse and worse as long as the government doesn’t do something to fix the root of the issue.

Housing should not be a capital market to be speculated on. There should be no investors in housing.

Things people need to survive can’t be subject to market forces.

Homelessness and lack of housing affordability is exclusively an issue of neoliberal capitalism and the infection of every facet of our existence with “the market”.
