Fuck Tesla and any/every other automaker for switching to subscription-based anything for features. As if the fuckstick hasn't already raped people on price enough as it is. The board is completely lost and a bunch of idiots to keep fumbling over Lord Elon's decisions.

Yeah, so let the father suffer the rest of his life knowing his daughter killed herself... If my daughter wanted to do that, ill or not, I'd fight for her life, not applaud the fact she won the right to assisted suicide...

Yes, I get it, she has a psychiatric illness now with chronic pain due to a previous suicide attempt, but it didn't rally mention any attempts at either treating her issues or how actually severe it was. A lot of people can self-diagnose "depression" or other illnesses, and the article doesn't do a good job explaining actual severity, just sounds like they also support her by how is written.

Idk, the whole assisted suicide is such a fucked concept and a lot of grey area!

What if:

My car doesn't have a cellular connection? Does it still spy?

I have SatNav, but it doesn't have a hotspot/wifi/cell, does it so collect data somehow? I'm guessing somehow over GPS/sat maybe?

Been waiting so long, if only they could give us a sneak peek or hint or something

Immich needs RAM so opt for more RAM if possible. I'm using Yunohost on an old box and have 8GB and Immich uses about 4-5 with all advanced features off.

Ironically, you're supporting Google by buying their hardware just to remove their software...

I know, GOS is the standard, but Lineage isnt far behind. Removes Google, removes telemetry, doesn't sell your data (though ToS does say if you make an online account they warn you it's public and can be shared, etc)

Why Heliboard over FUTO Keyboard? FUTO makes Immich too.

They can use chat, trust me. Found my kid was talking to someone in one game because the characters walk around with signs in their hands that they update what they say. Concerning to say the least. My wife is blind to it, says there's little harm in playing with other kids and claims to supervise and she doesn't see any predators. "I'm paranoid" and a "conspiracy theorist ". I said for the conspiracy, it's not a theory when there's proof... If it were up to me, I'd fully block YT and RB across the full network.

Need to come back to this.

No, because you can literally use an alt app store

"Install F-Droid ↗ on your Android device(s). The more people that use alternative app marketplaces, the harder it will be to shut them out"

Also, to data transfer anything, you're locked to iTunes on a specific device, on Android I could sideload apps from my SD card if I wanted, move pictures or video, etc.

Anyone else just sick of trying to follow guides that cover 95% of the process, or maybe slightly miss a step and then spend hours troubleshooting setups just to get it to work?

I think I just have too much going in my "lab" the point that when something breaks (and my wife and/or kids complain) it's more of a hassle to try and remember how to fix or troubleshoot stuff. I lightly document myself cuz I feel like I can remember well enough. But then it's a style to find the time to fix, or stuff is tested and 80%completed but never fully used because life is busy and I don't have loads of free time to pour into this stuff anymore. I hate giving all that data to big tech, but I also hate trying to manage 15 different containers or VMs, or other services. Some stuff is fine/easy or requires little effort, but others just don't seem worth it.

I miss GUIs with stuff where I could fumble through settings to fix it as is easier for me to look through all that vs read a bunch of commands.

Idk, do you get lab burnout? Maybe cuz I do IT for work too it just feels like it's never ending...
