I’ve got a Beretta Pico I got 8-9 years ago. Few hundred rounds in it stopped functioning properly. The trigger doesn’t reset or catch again after firing(also happens when empty and dry firing). I can generally fidget with it to get catch and have tension again for a single pull before it goes back to having no tension.
I was reorganizing and found it in my safe again and want to see if I can get it functioning again. Looks like it was a somewhat common issue and in 2017 beretta offered a trigger upgrade for it which made the slide and trigger less heavy to pull and the people I’ve seen posting about this issue reported having it resolved with this trigger upgrade. One cat reported replacing just the trigger to no avail but upon sending to Beretta for the “trigger upgrade” had it resolved.
The next time I’m home I’m going to get the serial number and contact Beretta to see if they can be of any help.
Has anyone had success fixing this themselves and if so what parts did you replace? Beretta still sells some parts for it and midwestgunworks has just about every part. I’ve got no issue just buying and replacing all the guts in it but if anyone has an idea as to what specific part was behind this issue I’d appreciate being able to narrow the scope of this project.
TLDR; Beretta Pico trigger doesn’t recatch after being pulled. What’s the fix?
Sending the factory slide in to get milled actually sounds like a really good idea that I hadn’t put any thought into before. Seems 90% of the slides I’m seeing for sale have all sorts of windows cut into them. Plus since apparently nobody likes .40s anymore the G23 seems to have less compatible parts available.
