I told one of my college professors I'd been having issues with some software I had to learn to use for another class, and he said "can I give you a tip? try using chat-gpt to explain how to use it" and without thinking I said "why would I use chat-gpt? It's rubbish" and his face fell. Sorry, Prof, I know you were trying to help.
This was after he'd said to the class that he knew we would all be using chat-gpt for assignments.
He looks like a dog that's just been shown a treat.
Not a mention in the article of the impact of pollution on fertility, which isn't inconsiderable.
Two factors that have made the birth rate go down are a) greater access to contraception and abortion for women and b) reduced numbers of teenage pregnancies. Of course forced births and forced labour are a-ok with these two.
like if I tried to end global poverty by becoming really, really rich.
I have some exciting news for you. Have you ever heard of "effective altruism"?
"There’s a lot of money going after a billionaire for tax evasion but not in someone having a side hustle where they make money under the table selling $50k worth of widgets per year."
Lol and indeed lmao. "One death is a tragedy, a million is a statistic".

What is it about Reddit and this specific scenario? I've seen people talk about how the brutal truth is that disabled children are bad over and over again. If you challenge this, you're naive and possibly offensive. It's one of Reddit's weird fixations (see also: father's rights).
Moral uncertainty is reason to become pro-life? We do morally uncertain things every day. That's no reason to legislate.
How can a billionaire use the word "we" with a straight face. I look poor standing next to this guy. The King of fucking England would look poor standing next to this guy. But we're meant to all be the same?
you could add monetizes existing human relationships as well for the meme NFTs. And obscene levels of waste considering it uses blockchain and cryptocurrency
A sidenote: the brothers who made Stripe are involved. One of them (John I think?) was complaining on Twitter recently about all the unnecessary "environmental red tape" in Ireland.
Can't really say I'm surprised that Mr Facebook takes this attitude. His whole fortune is built on the belief that aggregating and hosting content is more valuable than creating it
