yes, it is. those are pretty much the definitive windows commands to try to fix random stuff like this too, if they fail then it’s reinstall time lmao

i don’t necessarily use it, but i mess around with an xp vm a lot. for web browsing there’s mypal (which is old but still mostly functional firefox) and supermium which is somehow chrome 122 on xp. there’s also one core api for running more modern apps, but i haven’t ever tried it.

overall, xp is surprising usable for most people considering “usable” means “there is a modern web browser” but i still wouldn’t recommend it since xp is 23 years old.

well i can’t exactly argue with that one

there’s a website that has an installer for the windows 7 games, but ever since windows 8 all of the games have to be downloaded from the microsoft store and they’re all full of ads and even lag. genuinely their new minesweeper runs at a few seconds per frame most of the time on my pc

please try the sodium mod. i have no recommendations for devices, but sodium gets my pc with an i3-4170 and no dedicated gpu up to about 50-75 fps in multiplayer and also singleplayer when chunks aren’t being generated. is that considered playable enough?

"they are" is correct, even for a single person.
