I've seen a few artists online use dead electronics to make really amazing multimedia art! If you can't figure out a way to use it technically, maybe contact such kind of artist who could use the materials artistically?

I had an account on an instance that went down. Is there any way to easily request for it to be removed from search results, or is it just going to be stuck in perpetual existence forever on other instance caches?

Yeah, I came into this thread expecting to defend letting blahaj be federated with hexbear, but I'm left seeing a comment section being armwrestled by hexbear users, when this post should really be predominantly blahaj users weighing in on the pros and cons, and the impact of hexbear onto our instance.

Wouldn't the solution then is to just ban the trolls, not moderate pronouns? If there's going to be trolls, letting them be visible would make them easier to identify and ban, no?

I've thought about it. I have concerns about the safety aspect of it though, especially since my lungs aren't great in general.

Binding & dysphoria (self.nonbinary)

Does anyone else feel like binding just makes you more dysphoric? Binding makes me more conscious of my chest, which generates more of the bad thoughts... am I approaching binding wrong?

Kobo Libra 2. I like the form factor and USB-C. Only thing missing is TTS support and letting me borrow audiobooks from Overdrive.

honestly, I've never seen anything bad from kbin. only very positive. lemmy.world though... understandably most of it is all right, so I don't think defederating is the call. specific communities with moderation issues can be blocked by users. the instances as a whole are mostly all right.

Almost everything is on Ao3 now for me. It's just ridiculously easy to read how I want, organize my fics, etc and of course very easy posting. I'll go on FFN when I run out of fic for a fandom on Ao3 though. There are a few gems that haven't been crossposted, so I go fight against FFN's cloudflare to download them with FanFicFare lol.

Do I still need the "I still don't care about cookies" extension if I add the filter list?
