These are a life-saver in my house with my 2-year-old. I haven't been able to find a single post on any piracy channels or public/private trackers.

The top one in our house is I Want My Hat Back by Jon Klassen. Please help, mateys!

Seconding Windscribe. Using them since the Mullvad port forward death.

Thank you for the thoughtful response. I love when fellow seafarers go through this kind of effort. ๐Ÿ™

Just figured this might be some welcome news to shout out from the crow's nest. Haven't tried it yet myself, so would love some feedback, me hearties!

Sounds good. Last I tried I was on Mullvad, but I've switched to Windscribe so might try that again.

The truth about VPNs? (lemmy.dbzer0.com)

So I'm pretty recent to the high seas but I've seen a few posts now about "stop relying on your VPN" and "people that think VPNs will protect them are naive" and so on.

So since I believe knowledge is our greatest weapon/tool/super-power, can we get some answers regarding what exactly the doomsayers are getting at? ELI5 why VPNs wouldn't protect your anonymity.

Is it about logging? The country your end-point is in? Something more technical?

Ultimately I'd like to be fully armed in order to keep making the best choices for my fledgling ship as it navigates the vast, stormy seas.

I'll have to try again. Originally I tried with Mullvad (prior to the port-forwarding implosion) and ITVX kept throwing errors. I wonder if it had issues with my device's timezone as another matey mentioned? I'm on Windscribe now so might try that.

Also curious about this. If I can get VPN working like others suggested I'd love to actually have them on my media server and not have to set up the wife's phone with VPN and all that.

Oh thank you! So does BT4G pull from other trackers? I don't see a way to add it to Prowlarr.

*NOTE: I am NOT asking for an invite. I'm very happy to go through the normal channels (IRC, Discord, application, etc).

I think TV Chaos is probably the best current tracker for British TV? I saw that they haven't had open signups for a number of years. Tried joining their chat and didn't get any replies.

Basically looking to get recent seasons of British reality TV (TOWIE, Baby Steps, Love Island, etc) and having a hard time. I'm currently on IPT and TorrentLeech and it's slim pickings. The public trackers don't seem much better (1337z, EXTV, TorrentGalaxy). Any help would be appreciated!

I just got yt-dlp working and downloaded some kids videos for my toddler. I placed them in a folder for my Plex to pick up but it just never shows them.

My structure: \Media\Kids Shows\The Little Bird\Season 1

There are four little bird and the... videos in that folder. I assume since it's not a real show that has metadata it's having trouble? Thanks in advance for the help.

This one might still be open for application signup. Also recommend bookmarking Opentrackers.

A thread on the old bad place mentioned Windscribe, which I've been using. They currently offer static IPs and port forwarding.

Split-tunneling has worked well in routing certain programs (qBit, flaresolverr, Firefox, etc) and then I keep Plex on the non-VPN network (I'm not using port-forwarding, personally).
