I'm Japanese, but I know this British regional topic.
This sandwich filling was invented by a Japanese person, and the interest in it led to it being reported in Japanese newspapers.
Honestly, I think this debate is necessary but ridiculous.
EDIT:
I've just realized that this post might violate our community rule, "No politics. (Sandwich sub is not a political sub, go figure.)" So I'm considering deleting it.
(To me, this topic was about a faraway foreign country, and it was about the interpretation of law, not the enactment of law, so I didn't realize that this post was political.)
For now, I'll delete this post if I receive a notice from a mod or if it receives a certain number of downvotes, so please downvote it if you think this is political news.
RE-EDIT:
While I was editing this addendum, I received a positive response from the mod to this post, so I am withdrawing the above addendum regarding deletion.
“Cardboard Cooler” with cooling function using frozen plastic bottles.
I thought it was ridiculous to make your own air conditioner out of cheap materials, but apparently it's actually quite cool.
However, the author of the article says that “the wind smells a little like metal.”
The article is in Japanese, but for details, please refer to the link below.
