The last update was in 2020. Electron version is 8.0.

I have been using it since then on linux.. however, I am not too sure if I should keep using it?

If I am moving to another app, I am thinking of rednotebook, unless there is something better.

I run it as live usb, looking good. ANy plan to allow us to run on vm? I don't have a spare laptop I can use for testing..thank you

that is a good point... I obviously missed that. my generally would only use flatpak from the same developer of the app, or I will just use the deb packaged by my distro.

i am not sure which one is the native version... you mean the version packaged by the distro (deb) or the developer (flatpak)?

for the media player, quoted from mmstick (phoronix.com)

A video player is probably the easiest app to implement because it's based on the iced video player widget. It's just a matter of porting it to COSMIC. And there's no reason not to add a video player to the core lineup if it can be done. Every OS has a default system video player.

I found these instructions but I wasn't sure if they would mess with the default setup. I'm running pop 22.04. Thanks in advance.

Long story short, it is pretty solid as an alpha release! I would have installed it on bare metal, if I have another computer.

If you are installing on 22.04, this post still valid, https://lemm.ee/post/25474700

if you are installing the official 24.04 Alpha iso, simply select to use QXL graphic on vm setup. no other changes needed in the OS level.

@mmstick, any plan to support virtio graphic?

are you guys skipping 6.8.2 due to the regression?

please don't skip the nice 6.9 kernel though

there was no updates in last week. I'm sure the team is working hard on the cosmic de and other refinements.

some suggest kernel 6.7 will fix the issue but not sure about that.
