Same for PC.

I'm looking for an option where I can simply buy the game & play from the disc without needing to download a 0-day patch.

SNES when growing up. When it was released, it felt like having an arcade machine at home. The sound & 16-bit graphics with titles like TMNT Turtles in Time, Street Fighter 2, Mortal Kombat, Final Fight, Super Double Dragon, and T2 The Arcade Game.

I was also a PC gamer but never looked at a PC as a gaming system/console. Played games like Sim City, Sim City 2000, Doom 1 & 2, Duke Nukem 3D, Wing Commander series, Warcraft, Starcraft, Command & Conquer series, and the list goes on.

I haven't seen a PlayStation 5 Greatest Hits collection yet and I've never heard of games being re-released with latest patches/content, with the exception of No Man's Sky Beyond on PS4 and the soon-to-be released Cyberpunk 2077 for the PS5. Curious if EA will do something for Jedi Survivor.

Normally, I would just resort to getting it on the PC but I'm in no rush (still haven't played the first one yet) and my PC badly needs a new GPU.

Probably sometime next year? I still need a new GPU (currently on 970GTX) that's not part of the 4000 series.
