Had a nice day; no complaints. Staying up late tonight to catch up on some things. No wildfire smoke. Did some research on making a Hackintosh for fun. Chillen with my family for the 4th; no major plans. Just resting and taking it easy. How's everyone else doing?

I can't fathom that amount stored there in addition to the amount of data traffic occurring. Those fibers are on fire; coming in the centers in 3 foot tubes! For some reason they don't appear on google image search. ;)

With all the sites and release groups that have shut down recently there seems to be something big occurring. It looks like this might be the gradual shut down of open trackers chaps. IVPN was the choice for services for years; will have to see what happens from here. I felt comfortable using their service; however this changes my self hosting. Usenet from here on out? IRC? People are tired of this war. Putin wanted to secure food reserves and have an open access sea port for his military; however he wasn't honest as to his reasons why; understandably so. Given this the Russian public doesn't see the actual geopolitical value of the conflict. This was inevitable. If Russia couldn't play nice with the rest of the world as their money mostly comes from oil and gas; which we are moving away from. Let them pay for their crimes.

They understood the risks; there is no question in my mind that they didn't. I think they were bored with what life could offer them with that much money. At a certain point you really can basically experience it all. Instead of going on a tested rocket ship; they gambled the ultimate wager. Their life or bragging rights. Image the tale you could tell coming back from the journey in such a rigged tube; or the publicity of your fatal demise and making a "historical" moment regarding it. The world was watching. Darkly their death reads better than any final service of passing or headstone does.

They are slowly taking away the platforms of free speech. First they came for the self hosted websites; then they changed the search engine functions; then they came for twitter; now they are at Reddit. Make no mistake this is not just about an IPO. This is about controlling how the public communicates. Discourse is discouraged.
