Next time add a capacitor instead of a resistor for this

It's two months later and I've done a 180 on this opinion and went from "fuck gas cars" to "fuck all cars".

The car infrastructure is the shitty part, not so much the cars

That's the one!

If you already have a good pedestrian vehicle: a good bike lock.

I (and lockpicking lawyer) recommend the kryptonite evolution. Good balance of price and protection.

For a step up I recommend the kryptonite fahgettaboutit.

Either way, bolt cutters aren't getting in, and portable angle grinders will take a little while because the chain is annoying to grind.

I see too many expensive bikes chained up with thin little locks.

I was gonna say this.

$100 on craigslist or a local bike refurbishing place (where I got mine) will get you something that will last for years.

Throw in a $15 bike lock, a cheap returned helmet, and a $5 rear bike light and you're set for life.

Liftoff freaking rules. I can view /m/all, true ALL, not related to my instance, and I can comment on any post by having a few lemmy accounts (sopuli.xyz main, lemm.ee covers most everything else, plus beehaw).

Liftoff is the only one I know of that plays nice with multiple accounts and the whole fediverse

Yeah, but it's all kind of ridiculous, just get a standing desk and never worry about it again

Oh shut up, ecars cause less environmental damage than normal cars by far. Yes they require lithium. The lithium required doesn't get close to the damage of 300k miles worth of gas.

"but power plants burn coal for that electricity"

Not mine. I live in portland and have signed up for 100% renewable power. That's a your-city problem. You should work on that.
