Ah. Yeah i passed through St-Jean Pied-de-Ports last year on a bicycle trip and ran into a bunch of pilgrims, one of them told me that he started from le Puy doing that kind of group start, i did not know it was a thing then.
Did you start from the church then? I heard there is sometimes a mass in those starting point churches and then a whole lot of people start walking together.
Thanks for sharing!
I have lost no community vote, nobody has lost a community vote, there was no community vote.
I don't want to anger you any more, and will finally move along for real - third time's a charm π
Just saw the guy admitting that all his reposting is just being a boycotting effort. https://sopuli.xyz/post/24543846?scrollToComments=true
What? That was a reply towards your claim i was being "overtly aggressive and negative towards the platform as a whole" just because i made a PSA about how buggy lemmy account deletion was. On all instances. You and a couple other people then jumped in to frame it as some lemmy.world problem, which it isn't.
Thanks for your civil remarks.
I am not sure what the mod of crows thinks of it, i can only assume that he'd think what they do is lame as hell, i have a hard time seeing it any other way. But kudos to him for not even taking the bait and just keeping on doing his thing, unlike me π
I am not against the corvids community, if it was an organic community of people interested in crows i'd be all for it, but like i said in the other reply, right now i can only perceive it as a fediverse politics community, not a crows community.
I would not mind more than one community about crows. It's just that the sopuli one is currently not a crows community, but a fediverse politics community.
The actual crows community is the crows one, their mod was carrying it for all this time, posted mostly original content and it picked up a few other posters along the way. Making a niche community work on lemmy is tough, tough to stay motivated and i'm thankful for people like him to stay on it. The sopuli one was sadly dead since its existence.
About two weeks ago now the consolidation mafia π started reposting the content from crows, so mostly the OC of its mod, into the corvids comm. Then they opened a topic in a fediverse politics group, @ing the handful of active users to ask them to move over to corvids. Happy to see that none of them seems to have it, only the politics people love the idea of course. Lying through their teeth claiming the corvid community was just as active as the crows one. @ing the admin about ten times to drag him into this politics group and wondering how he is not replying to this brazen attempt to kidnap the small community that he has been building over the last two years. They also have no history caring much about crows, it is solely an attempt at a power move.
So yeah, i feel like they are harassing the mod of crows community and i despise their attempt to hurt a fine small niche community. That's it. I understand you all think there is nothing to see here, so i will move along.
I am just a rando and i care because i liked the crows community. I don't think the corvid community is anything to be jaleous about. Something to be ashamed about, that'd be more like it.
But I recognise you all seem to think everything's just fine and my perception must be warped.
Nice. Do you know what naturehike tent it is? They're really good value imo.
I like drinking coffee in the tent. I use regular coffee and do pour over with those paper tea filters, works really well for me. I brought my aeropress a couple times, but found it not worth it, tea filters seemed good enough on a trip.
I also stopped bringing soap some years ago, especially since corona i found that wherever you'll find a bathroom sink, you'll find soap too. But yeah, no big deal to bring some either.
On warmer trips i now bring some Keen clearwater sandals as my only shoes. I will keep doing that, i think they're really good. When it gets cold obviously with socks (also merino), gives extra style points too π
Aw man, i was about to go on the first weekender of the year today, but something came in the way. Hopefully next week.
Yes, exactly. Thanks.
I was just saying that it really was the first time that i observed a wren when it showed up in my flower pot π It disappeared for 5 seconds in the depths of the pot, then it appeared and for half a second at some random spot, haha. So it was kinda tricky to take a snap of it.
When i first saw it, it was sitting on top of the feeder. I saw a tit bump against my balcony door from the corner of my eye a couple minutes earlier and wondered why that had happened. Then i realized the sparrowhawk was there. It was then observing the feeder for probably three hours from a tree. The photo was taken after its second failed attempt, so yeah, i guess you're right, haha.
I did not see it in the following days, but the lil birds kinda stayed away from the feeder too for a while. Also have not seen the baby pigeons after their first flights, maybe it got lucky there.
Bonus
I like the pb swiss pb 470.
