To be fair, I used to work at a fast food place, and we sometimes had to chop extra legs apart. As in, the chicken had an extra leg on its leg.

Yeah, I know, but it's possible it could drive more users to the fediverse- for example, if they federate, then try to monetize their platform in such a way that users drift away to other instances to avoid ads or what-have-you.

Seems reasonable.

Oh God. Prepare yourself for a confusing alien nightmare. The acting isn't so much bad as surreal.

Reporting from southern US. Haven't noticed anything exceptional. It's been raining here for a bit, and it's always pretty hot when it's not raining, in the summer.

Why YSK: Some banks have no minimum age for authorized users, and report credit usage for them. If you have a credit card you don't use much, you can add your kids as authorized users, set up a reoccurring payment from the card and an automatic payment to the card, and then forget about it. Your kid could become an adult with an already-maxed credit score.

That's a weird, and kinda creepy question anyway. Fuck em.

Not quite US political news, but hey, everything is political now. Also, relevant, since I use the internet.

I hope it is too. I heard there was a donation link somewhere, but the Lemmy dev team apparently have some questionable political views. Do with that what you will.

This feels like a desperate move. Honestly, with all the changes that they've made to Twitter, it's a little surprising that they've kept as many users as they have.

I'm not really concerned that any particular instance is really going to impact my usage of the fediverse, but thanks for the info. It's good to be aware that a particular instance may be biased.
