I'm always shocked that other distros haven't made their own version of Yast from opensuse

That was insane, I was in equal parts cringing and laughing my arse off.

I knew La'an would be amazing. I was also very excited when I realised Kirk would be involved.

The singing of the intro should be permanent.

What a nice surprise after work on a Sunday!

The episode was bloody tremendous! I knew they were going to appear in SNW but somehow I didn't think it was going to be cartoon and live action together, I thought they would just be sucked into the past and we'd see the real actors. The intro and outro were both great. It was just brilliant all round.

I needed the laughs this week and it totally delivered for me.

Star trek always does this to me, they introduce some character or change to a character that I initially would not agree with but they always make me love them. I'm going to miss human Spock now.

When they said they were bringing the Kirk's into strange new worlds I thought it was a terrible idea, now I keep thinking how great a series with the new Kirk would be.

When seven turned up in voyager I knew it was because of sex appeal and the FHM magazine culture of the time so I was against it, now she's my favourite character and I cried when she was made captain.

Whe Pike and Spock turned up in discovery I thought that was a bad idea, now pike is my hero and I never want SNW to end and Ethan Peck is totally smashing it as Spock.

Human Spock? What a shit idea. But, I absolutely loved it.

When I was about 9 my family went to the jorvik viking center in York. They had a ride thingy where you could be driven around a realistic viking settlement and whatever the fuck they used to make the realistic smells of smelly vikings and pig shit really fucked me up. No one else was that bothered but I couldn't eat properly for days.

I'm guessing whatever chemical they used really didn't sit well with me. It must have had a pretty extreme effect because that was 31 years ago and it was the first thing that popped in my mind when I saw this question.

Everyone is going to buy up all the toilet roll again for no reason.

Kirk was superb, I don't think I could have accepted the car scene if it was anyone else. It's Kirk, of course he's going to drive like a nutter. I was genuinely shocked when he got shot. I thought there couldn't possibly be a way for him to make it but they still got me.

La'an has grown on me so much, she was the one I was most dubious about in the early episodes of season one. I felt really sorry for her at the end, losing Kirk and being unable to talk to anyone about what she's experienced. She's gone through some pretty serious trauma already due to her genes and name and now she's had to go through this pure insanity. I wonder what the significance of the watch is.

That was a beauty! I love this crew! Seeing them all back Una up made me quite emotional. I'm a soppy git.

Is it me or is SNW the best looking trek ever? Everything just looks so cool. I bloody love it.

I swear people that don't watch trek think it's just about lasers and technobabble.

I know people that refused to watch Discovery because 'they made it all woke and now it's all about women'.

I know it's been done to death all over the internet but not here yet!

If you could choose any actor or actress to be in Star Trek who would you choose?

I recently saw that Nic Cage said he was a Trekkie and I'd absolutely love it if he played an insane alien villain of some sort for an episode or two. Get him in star trek legacy as a crazy ferenghi or something.

More people probably will stay on Reddit, but I like startrek.website so much I joined the patreon which I've never done for anything before.

Lemmy is new and a bit confusing to start with but I really like it. It aligns with my morals and techie side much more than Reddit ever could.

I checked r/startrek last night at was a bit shocked at the hate the mods were recieving for doing what I consider to be morally correct. To each their own I suppose!

Fun will now commence.

I have watched every film and every episode of every series of Star Trek. It was glorious, the only thing I didn't really enjoy was the animated series.

I saw a lot of TNG when it was on TV when I was younger and always loved it so a few years back I decided to just watch everything trek available. There's so much, I can't quite believe I actually finished it all.

It's been a long road, now bring on Strange New Worlds!
