Ohh it’s hail! I looked at the picture before I read and I was thinking blight. I think it’s going to survive. There’s still plenty of hot summer left. Cut off the dead stuff, give a good dose of fertilizer and keep it watered. Looks like it’s watered now so I think ya it’s going to be fine.

If everyone switched to EV cars there would surely be fewer emissions from motors but that would not be the only issue. One is the mining of metals for batteries and the cars themselves. That process, along with shipping parts around produces greenhouse gasses and environmental harm. Then consider that we are not removing carbon nor does EV cars combat the largest sources of greenhouse gases like coal/ natural gas, textile manufacturing, concrete, shipping, and beef. Additionally, the EVs need electricity to charge and if everyone on earth today switched to EVcars many of those would end up being powered by the coal power plants (although it would be a more efficient use of fossil fuel).

Electric vehicles are great and should be used. They do come with their own set of environmental problems to consider. It also worth noting that production and consumption of vehicles and everything else on the planet needs to slow. We simply have too many people doing too much. So if you have an old gas powered car that still runs, don’t throw it out to buy a new EV.

Good for you with investing green. Can you recommend a mutual fund?

Dude I appreciate the message and the intention to consume less, but we the common folk are not the ones flying private jets and producing 50% more food than we eat. The rich are always going to try and put the onus of climate change action on us. They will tell us to use better light bulbs and use paper straws while refusing to make meaningful legislation. They will cut off private cars from Paris and short commercial flights while allowing the rich to rent limousines and charter private jets.

They’re going to have us eating bugs while they eat the last living cow. Don’t buy into this nonsense.

Why is there no adjective form of the word integrity? If someone has integrity they are _____? Because integral means something else so it can’t be that.

I suggest integratuitous.

Totally. YouTube is barely scraping by these days. Them and all of Google. They’re riding the bus to work. They had to stop eating out. Poor almost richest company in the world. They NEED us to turn off as lockers or else they’ll have to shut the whole thing down

How come nobody ever told me Battlestar Galactica was so good? I’m on season 2. I love the stories I really love the casting choices (where did they find the actress for Starbuck she’s perfect) but one thing I could do without is the cinematography. Woof

Do y’all see what I’m seeing there on Join Lemmy? On the join a server page. We created that instance but it wasn’t working correctly so we rebooted it but the old disabled version still displays with a funky name. Can Lemmy remove that?

I asked a local landscaper where he dumps his yard waste and then I went there and asked for green wood. I make spoons with it, so I went back next time and gave the nice lady there a spoon I made. Then I got more green birch wood

I don’t think they can thrive indoors but i can tell you what I would try. Lavender comes from the Mediterranean region and those plants like rocky poor soil, very little water, and full sun. So pick the sunniest spot in the house, fill the pot with rocks and sand and also some dirt, and water maybe every month or every other month. I would also go with a terracotta pot. Good luck! If it works come back and show us
