I agree that someone conned deserves compassion. You got tricked into sending someone money? Im sorry, even if it was dumb of you, im angry at the scammer.
But when you get scammed and the person who scammed you says theyre using your money for atrocious hateful acts, say making someones existence illegal, and you double down and say "well actually theyre right let me send more money, " you do not have any sympathy from me.

My, admittedly very arcane, point was that its more of a social issue rather than a school curriculum issue, and so when you say ots because of the south and implying they werent ever attempted to be taught, it puts pressure on the wrong people. I actually think the OP likely happened

I actually consider it way worse when my domestic country is doing it. What is a foreign country gonna do with the information on me? Very little. What can the domestic do? Quite a lot.
