Quite box bullet trap (forum.guncadindex.com)

I want to build a box that i can test fire into that will reduce the noise considerably so i can test fire into my garage. Has anyone built something like this. Is it feasible im thinking something i can insert my hand and pistols into that will catch the bullets and not disturb/alert my neighbors. Any ideas of what would be required Im thinking something similar to the “ftn shut your trap” but not something that sits at the end of the barrel something that encompasses the entire gun like a mini soundproof room

I printed some dimensional blocks and got the exact opposite results i was expecting. The pla+ block came out slightly smaller than the set dimensions and the pa6-cf block was actually slightly larger than the set dimensions.

How do i address this. I guess it could make some sense as its the openings in the prints that are too small so the pa6-cf test print being larger could mean that the negative space is being taken up by this but if i scale the print larger to increase the hole sizes then the rest of the print will be too big.

thanks everyone for pointing out the obvious of how to test the calibration i was more or less asking if its normal for PA6 to shrink more than PLA +

Every thing i print in pla+ has been pretty dimensionally accurate on my K1c. However when i print the same thing in pa6-cf. (all fillament sunlu) the dimensions end up slightly smaller and the tolerances are arguably too tight. Magazines dont slide in and out easily, mag catch barely fits and wont slide. Pin holes are too small. Etc.

How would i address this. As it seems filament dependent not printer issue
