This is Orcbolg. Fully DIY .380 ACP pistol. You may seen it on reddit 3D2A few months ago. Now time to test it. As I live not in land of the second amendment, for me it not so easy. But I did possible for me at this moment and can claim Orcbolg can handle at least 20 shots. About pistol: Not fully printed, but no gun parts, only simple metalworks like drilling and cutting. Slide are composite of printed liner and metal square tube, JB-weld together. Breech face metal too. FGC-9 like barrel. Anyone have success using sten mags printed in PLA+ ? It seems the magazine(15rd lower) cant firmly hold multiple rounds without rounds just popping off the magazine. Im guessing 100% printed magazines arent ideal. Maybe I should try STEN mags but with the RR metal inserts.

I want to build a box that i can test fire into that will reduce the noise considerably so i can test fire into my garage. Has anyone built something like this. Is it feasible im thinking something i can insert my hand and pistols into that will catch the bullets and not disturb/alert my neighbors. Any ideas of what would be required Im thinking something similar to the “ftn shut your trap” but not something that sits at the end of the barrel something that encompasses the entire gun like a mini soundproof room

Based off the Fair Deal Magazines by General Custer (great work). Will be compatible with Black Dog Machine springs as well as the OEM Z-springs. Two sets of followers for each spring type. Z-springs can also be found on AliExpress and I will provide the dimensions on release.

I might be going crazy, but I didn't see a CAM listed in the BOM for this or the AWCY 3DP90. Does anyone know which/what this design calls for?

I tried to color correct it the best I could but it was just an online editor. It's a relative comparison anyways and if you have one, you can compare with the photo and get an idea. It might have been better to take the photo in the sun because the blue sky made blue highlights but this is good enough for now.

I'll probably be asked about the container. It's ezy storage 32L and walmart has a 6 pack for $54. Edit: It will actually hold 10 if spools are put in long ways but this was a better orientation for comparison.

I was wondering if there is consensus in the community on the PA6-CF printing temperature. Manufacturers seem to cap at 300 (280-300 range). There is a user on other resource advocating for 320c for printing Fiberon PA6-CF citing good layer adhesion. How much merit does this theory actually have ?

Is there a limit after which temperature become detrimental ? Doing some quick searches looks like injection molding of nylon is using standard 280-300c temperature so that leads me to believe that printing hot may not be a good idea unless we do actual layer adhesion tests and not just "it looks better"

I have a working chairmanone dd43, works decent. I was curious if anyone knows of a 43 frame that takes dd rails and is stronger than chairman's, ie thicker. I want to print it in cf nylon, but iv done it with chairman’s design and it broke because it was so thin.

I want to make this one, however I am a little bit confused on the barrel - can I just the barrel (and all the other parts) from a regular Ruger 10/22? Or does it has to be the barrel liner and the procedure it says in the manual?

As of right now, I am tidying up files and making a how-to document. Will be released soon. Edit: I will be selling hardware/ rails kits for these. I am contemplating polishing these parts for everyone instead of only deburring, would this be something people are interested in? The rails work much smoother with a nice polish and bevel on them.

Has anyone ever tried making a kind of hybrid design using both 3d printed and cnc milled aluminium parts? I'm about to build a aluminium-capable cnc, so if anyone has any Ideas for me to try, I'd be very happy!

Put together a no drill SCSSS and it got some ideas flowing. Seems like this could be a tool-less design. The striker channel itself being the retainer for the sandwiched construction. 5 sets of 5 for $30 and you'd be set for quite a while. I don't break strikers often and I avoid dry firing as a preventative measure but this would be some extra peace of mind.

Progress on a prototype 63 RAK. Uses SCS rails and barrel locking lugs, all test fits good so far.

Hi, So anyone had any success with rifling those caliber? Say I have a way to drill and ream 30mm 4140 bar to the corret size, than I have the access to the correct chamber reamers, all left is the rifling , now,tried the button from ali with little success, used the "high quality" of the Ukraine made with the same results... Im looking into ECM it, and my problem is my very limited capabilities with 3d modeling. Looking to print the mandrel in like 3 segments so ill be able to print it to the length of 20-24 inch it needs to have some kind of groove to align it and glue it all together to 1 piece .

So , just curious, anyone had done this already and willing to share knowledge?

Kak industries webpage has Mac bolts for 100 dollars. Dont know how long they'll be this low in price. There's an $85 blem bolt too but idk how many of those are available. I've got one it works with Glock and sten mags but the firing pin has a tendency to break and I got maybe 300 rounds through mine before it did that's actually how I saw the bolts on sale cause I was searching for a replacement firing pin. ( My firing pin breaking so soon could've been a one off however. My MAF arms bolt is twice as old and never given me problems)

Remix of RG3D prints ACR style stock for direct fit on Cetme C or G3. First version came out higher than I thought it would. Basically impossible to aim with irons. Next version is 15mm lower and there is still the option to use the built in cheek riser.
