Yes, but from my end actually. I thought I had the ability to control the weather, and I went down this rabbithole when I read stuff about Mythicals and AWTOK from Wattpad. That place was wild, there were people claiming to be relatives of gods and were the "chosen ones" to represent mythicals in the war or some shit like that. One of them had a discord community server at one point and claimed they could "detect your mythical type" (some people tried using different accounts and they got different results each time LOL). As to how committed they are, they would listen to subliminals, practice magic every day, make designs for their desired mythical type, etc

Considering most of reddit's comments are either one-liners and jokes, it's not that hard to get upvotes as a bot... but how'd you spot one? I'm afraid that I didn't learn the ability to distinguish between bot and human.

It's almost a relief that I was (relatively) recently introduced to 3rd party apps that it made me care enough to move to Kbin in protest of Reddit's actions. The future there is bleak.

So imagine NSFW (or 18+) as a circle and sexual content as a smaller circle within it. Some people look for NSFW (say, combat footage), but not porn. If a post was designated within "sexual content", it would also put it within the realm of NSFW, so it won't show up to someone who doesn't want to see NSFW, but if someone is fine with NSFW but not sexual content, they won't see porn, but will be able to see NSFW.

You couldn't even trust redditors to read past the headlines!

Last night, I used Redact to delete all my comments, then altered the settings to make an exception for one and only one subreddit. To check if I even had comments left in that subreddit, I kept an eye on my comments through Infinity. At first the comments were being deleted one by one, then suddenly it showed a "No comments found" screen half-way through the deletion. So I looked through a post in that subreddit where I entered a discussion, and it turns out that my comments there were still up, despite my comments tab showing nothing. I then checked RiF and it didn't show my comments through my profile. Today (after having deleted everything), I checked through my comments in my post in another subreddit, and it turns out they were still up, despite the fact that I didn't make exceptions for it. Still found no comments through my profile.

And now how exactly do we mention people with untypable usernames?

It's funny how he calls the moderators landed gentry, when he is the one benefitting from the mods' unpaid labor, all because they wanted to maintain their community, and then calls them squatters. In my culture, that sort of language means that he's trying to mock the moderators for being squatters "aspiring to be landed gentry"... then if you put his comments about owning slaves in an apocalyptic scenario into perspective... honestly I have no words left.
And all those "subtle insults" for the community just makes me wonder, why do people even want to benefit him, or be associated with him? This man was the ultimate reason why I left, not even the fact that I was a 3rd party user.

For me, it's not the app but u/spez. He lies, manipulates and tried to discreetly insult the community. It doesn't feel right for me to remain there.

I left because having that sort of person at the helm is just disconcerting.

It's not like that, though. Please don't just assume what our intentions are. We just get confused sometimes, especially on mobile, when there are maintenance and update posts for other sites that make it seem like it's going to be implemented here. The only way I distinguish between here and there is whether it's posted by Ernest or somebody else. If we could distinguish between posts by this site and others, we'd be up to date on other sites' development without getting misled.
